Working to "B" Award

Next Steps

You need to be an established and confident umpiring who is Umpiring both at Local League and Herts League levels. You will need to contact your Umpiring Rep. of the league, currently Chris Beasley. Your details will then be submitted to the Umpiring Sub-Committee and onto the waiting list.

Selection Day

Herts. County normally develop 8 "B" Award candidates per season. 12 people will be invited to attend a Selection Day/Course usually run in about March. Of the 12 people, 8 will be selected, then remaining 4 will then return to the top of the waiting list.

Mentoring

The 8 candidates selected will be extensively mentored. They will then be submitted for a "B" Award test, if they are ready. Otherwise mentoring will continue.
